Church Hymn and Announcement Slides
Many Churches across the USA use our 35mm color slides for displaying the words for their hymns and for their announcements. It's an economical way for them to display the hymn words and to make their announcements to the congregation.
Some Churches try to use laptop computers and video projectors, but that equipment is an expensive alternative when you consider the costs involved. 35mm slide projectors are an inexpensive alternative and you can recoup your equipment investment very quickly. Slide projectors have been around for decades, they're low-tech and they have never become obsolete.
Tips for creating the digital images for movie theater advertising slides:
- Create a horizontal (landscape) colored background measuring 2732x4096 pixels at 372 dpi.
- Avoid a white background because it will glare at the audience, making the text difficult to read. A dark background is best.
- Add light colored text to the image but avoid long lines or paragraphs because reading time is limited. Use short phrases instead.
- Add multiple photos to the image because people are very visually literate. Photos are memorable and they instantly get your message across.
- Save your images as a JPG file or a TIF file with IBM byte order and LZW compression, and then upload them to us. Avoid sending native Photoshop files (PSD) and PDF files because their layers do not print properly.
